The Lechites Half Marathon is the oldest Polish half marathon, held continuously since 1978. The course, measuring 21.0975 km, connects Ostrów Lednicki, a symbolic site of Poland's baptism, with the historic heart of Gniezno, passing through areas inextricably linked to the beginnings of Polish statehood. The 48th edition of this race will take place in 2025, which will be special as it coincides with the celebrations of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry and Mieszko II Lambert.
